{"id":3206,"date":"2016-12-14T18:57:19","date_gmt":"2016-12-14T17:57:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.consorziobiogas.it\/servizio-ricerca\/"},"modified":"2025-01-15T14:39:43","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T13:39:43","slug":"research-and-development","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.consorziobiogas.it\/en\/research-and-development\/","title":{"rendered":"RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT"},"content":{"rendered":"[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Research and Development Area coordinates the drafting, organization, management and implementation of trials and projects (including pilot) at European, national and regional level.<\/p>\n<p>The main aims are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improvement of the entire production process of biogas-biomethane;<\/li>\n<li>Increase in plant yields;<\/li>\n<li>Assessment of environmental impacts;<\/li>\n<li>Assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of possible new biomass (e.g. algae) and new processes such as liquefaction of biomethane and\u00a0<em>Carbon Capture and Storage<\/em>;<\/li>\n<li>Permanent updating of the latest technologies and innovation for CIB Members;<\/li>\n<li>Development, in collaboration with the affiliated companies, of innovative ideas and products, to be implemented at industrial scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The R&amp;D Area is eager to develop new collaborations with consortium affiliates, as well as with new partners.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1486822000786{border-top-width: 1px !important;padding-top: 50px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;background-color: #f7f7f7 !important;border-top-color: #eeeeee !important;border-top-style: solid !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;]<div class=\"vcex-module vcex-list_item\" style=\"font-size:16px;text-align:center;\"><div class=\"vcex-icon-wrap\" style=\"margin-right:20px;font-size:30px;\"><span class=\"typcn typcn-lightbulb\"><\/span><\/div>DO YOU HAVE INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND PRODUCTS ON WHICH TO ELABORATE A PROJECT?<\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;]<div class=\"theme-button-expanded-wrap theme-button-wrap clr\"><a href=\"mailto:gassificazione@consorziobiogas.it;%20ricerca@consorziobiogas.it;%20biometano@consorziobiogas.it\" class=\"vcex-button theme-button expanded animate-on-hover expanded\" title=\"\" style=\"padding:15px;border-radius:0px;\" ><span class=\"theme-button-inner\">CONTACT<\/span><\/a><\/div> [\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]In order to better target its activity and to involve the Members more effectively, CIB has launched a campaign aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>identifying the main problems and\/or production phases with greater margin of improvement, starting from the direct experiences of biogas plant operators;<\/li>\n<li>writing a manual with the Best Available Technologies -BAT- for biogas and biomethane.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the end of this activity, Ordinary Members will know the BATs, and Plant Makers and Supporters will have a further tool to focus their business.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the indications raised in these early stages, workshops will be organized on major issues and emerging innovations. The R&amp;D area offers its support in identifying, writing and managing research projects on these issues at European, national and regional level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research Centers and Universities will be invited to participate actively in the project. During\u00a0<em>Biogas Italy<\/em>\u00a0and via newsletter we will provide information about how to participate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through the R&amp;D Area, CIB is currently participating in 3 european projects:[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;2px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40508&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;15px&#8221;][vc_column_text color=&#8221;#0c0c0c&#8221;]\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">GOODBYO | MULTI-COMMODITIES MICROBIAL-DRIVEN BIOREFINERY BASED ON FOOD-PROCESSING INDUSTRY WASTES, BIOGENIC CO2 AND BIOPROCESS WASTEWATERS<br \/>\nThe GoodByO project addresses this challenge by developing a next-generation multi-commodity biorefinery based on food waste, biogenic CO2, and bioprocess wastewaters to maximize resource efficiency and circularity. GreenMeUp&#8217;s main activity is to reduce the gap between countries with higher and lower biomethane production rates by analysing and comparing the market context and dynamics and promoting favourable policies and measures at national level.
