COP29 Baku: CIB participates to tell the Italian experience of agricultural biogas and biomethane

On the occasion of the 29th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP29), which is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Italian Pavilion will host a series of meetings on the most relevant issues for the environmental future.

Within the programme curated by the Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security, biogas and agricultural biomethane will be among the protagonists of the meetings, with the aim of highlighting the role of anaerobic digestion and the strategic contribution of agriculture in the fight against climate change.

In this context, CIB President Piero Gattoni will speak at two key events:

  • Wednesday 13 November, 11:30 am – he will take part in the initiative organised by Ecomondo entitled ‘Circular Economy and Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for the ecological and energy transition’.
  • Friday 15 November, 11:30 a.m. – will take part in the conference ‘Methane Emissions in the Global Path to Net Zero: Infrastructure as a Catalyst for Sustainable Gas Trade’, organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Special Envoy for Climate and Italgas.
