Agricultural systems, policy makers and civil society. Farming For Future Foundation’s speech at the Kyoto Club webinar

As part of the project “Agree CAP – For a zero-emission future of rural areas” promoted by Kyoto Club with the contribution of the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission, Diana Lenzi, President of Farming for Future Foundation, participated in Webinar #11: “Biogas and biomethane”, introduced and moderated by Roberto Calabresi (Kyoto Club).

In her speech, the President of the Foundation pointed out how there is often a lack of alignment between existing good agronomic practice and the European regulatory system that should also incentivise it as good economic practice. The Foundation’s goal is precisely that of bridging this policy gap not only by promoting the model of biogas made well and the 10 actions project Farming for Future, but also by financing applied scientific research to bring to European tables information that supports a model more in line with what is today’s agricultural reality, which is already able to contribute to improving environmental and economic performance through the production of biogas and biomethane.
