Farming Days 24 kicks off on 12 June. The first stage in Piverone
The appointments organised by the CIB-Consorzio Italiano Biogas on the territory are back. This year the format has been renewed with two stops at companies that symbolise Biogasdoneright and the actions of the Farming for Future project. Two whole days to discover how Italian agriculture is changing and which agricultural practices are bringing the primary sector increasingly closer to agroecology. The first stage of Farming Days 24 will be on Wednesday 12 June, from 10.00 a.m., in Piverone (TO) to tell the best practices of innovation, growth and protection of the territory of the Bagnod Farm, a CIB member.
“In a crucial year full of important reforms and measures for the development of the biogas supply chain, we have decided to start again with our initiatives in the territories because it will be precisely the local administrations that will be most committed in the coming months to putting the PNRR projects on the ground. We will open the doors of farms that represent not only the excellence of Made in Italy, but also virtuous examples in the production of biogas and biomethane, allowing anyone who attends to appreciate the innovation and commitment of the primary sector, demonstrating in a tangible way that the ecological transition is not only a desirable path, but above all possible,” says CIB President Piero Gattoni.
Azienda Agricola Bagnod is a historical reality in Piedmont that combines protection and agricultural excellence with renewable energy production, in an important region for the agricultural biogas supply chain thanks to more than 220 plants scattered throughout the region. In a preview for CIB Farming Days 24, it will be possible to visit the 400Sm3/h biomethane production plant, one of the first to be built thanks to the funds of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), and soon to be commissioned.
“The first day will open at an important farm where it will be possible to have a preview visit of the new biomethane plant built thanks to PNRR investments, demonstrating the extraordinary potential of agriculture in the transition path that will allow us to face the next energy and environmental challenges, also in the light of the new geopolitical assets that will open up. We will continue to tell about the most important innovations that the agricultural world is going through, the best techniques and innovations adopted by agriculture at the basis of the Farming for Future project for the creation of a more sustainable and circular economy,’ President Gattoni concluded.
For the first stop in Piedmont, the Mayor of Piverone, Alessandro Maria Fasolo, and the Councillor for Agriculture, Food, Hunting and Fishing of the Piedmont Region, Marco Protopapa, have been invited to attend. The Secretary of Coldiretti in the area, Massimo Ceresole; the President of Confagricoltura Piemonte, Enrico Allasia; the President of CIA Biella, Guido Coda Zabetta; and the Director of the Renewable Energy Sources Directorate of the GSE, Luca Barberis, are expected to attend.
After Piedmont, Farming Days 24 will stop in Veneto, on 10 October.
