The CIB at Ecomondo 2024: more than 100 biogas companies present. Events in the Forum Area on the calendar
From 5 to 8 November, the CIB – Consorzio Italiano Biogas returns to Rimini for the XXVII edition of Ecomondo. More than 100 CIB members will participate in the event this year. This is an important sign of the sector’s response to the Rimini Exhibition Centre, which also confirms for this edition the Farming for Future area dedicated to agroecology and the events, workshops and conferences organised within the CIB Forum Area in hall D5, stand 314, dedicated to the hottest topics in the biogas and agricultural biomethane sector. There will be 13 thematic workshops with a total of more than 60 presentations.
“The CIB’s historic partnership with Ecomondo is renewed once again this year, demonstrating the strategic role that the agricultural sector plays within the country’s circular system and in the ecological transition. The Consortium companies present at the Fair represent a concrete example of the value and innovation that the biogas sector can offer, contributing to the achievement of energy and climate objectives,” says CIB President Piero Gattoni.
The new edition of Ecomondo opens at a particularly crucial time for the sector, underlines Gattoni: “This last period has been marked by reforms and measures that are fundamental for the development of the biogas supply chain. For this reason, we have organised a calendar of appointments at Ecomondo dedicated to analysing the main innovations that are transforming the agricultural world, as well as important moments of discussion on the path of the PNRR. In addition, it will be essential to turn our gaze towards the future of the sector, in light of the guidelines outlined with the update of the PNIEC and in view of the installation of the new European Commission, which will have the crucial task of ensuring the achievement of the target of 35 billion cubic metres of biomethane in the EU by 2030. There will also be more technical sessions dedicated to the different technologies and innovations promoted by our members. We continue our determined and coordinated commitment to ensure the development of the sector,’ Gattoni concludes.
