The CIB at the G7 Agriculture. The agricultural biogas chain for decarbonisation
Today, President Piero Gattoni took part in the side event of the G7 Agricoltura in Ortigia dedicated to “Decarbonisation and Agriculture”, emphasising the role of the agricultural biogas and biomethane sector in achieving the ambitious emission reduction targets set at national and European level, on increasing the renewable share and improving the sustainability of production.
The initiative was an opportunity for the Consortium to emphasise how anaerobic digestion represents a technology capable of implementing a paradigm shift not only within the agricultural context but also of supporting other production chains called upon to make a contribution to decarbonisation.
The G7 Agriculture context was an opportunity to highlight the need to fully exploit the potential of agriculture, which thanks to food and energy production can accelerate the transition without leaving anyone behind.
