Cremona Livestock Fair, the CIB presents biogas and biomethane opportunities for farms.
Italian animal husbandry is a supply chain of excellence in our territory and a model of circular economy that over the years has assumed a strategic role also in terms of biogas and biomethane production. In particular, Cremona has immediately grasped the opportunities of the sector, becoming an important territory for the sector thanks to the presence of about 170 active biogas plants. The CIB-Italian Biogas Consortium is currently among the protagonists of the 78th edition of Fiere Zootecniche Internazionali di Cremona, the reference event for Italian livestock breeding, which this year also sees an important participation of the Consortium’s member companies.
Among the CIB’s appointments, a conference was held today dedicated to an in-depth analysis of biogas and biomethane innovations for farms, in the aftermath of the publication by the GSE of the results of the second competitive procedure dedicated to biomethane and envisaged by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The outcome reveals the good performance of the primary sector: out of 51 admitted plants, more than 40 agricultural plants are in the ranking list, of which more than 20% are located in Lombardy.
